European cities work to address social vulnerability in climate adaptation planning
Climate change impacts do not affect all citizens in the same way. They often cause worse impacts on certain vulnerable groups within cities. The ETC/CCA report: "Social vulnerability to climate change in European cities – state of play in policy and practice" reviews the concepts of social vulnerability, and describes several case studies that attempt to assess vulnerability and include equity in adaptation planning.

RAMSES project results on impact of research on adaptation to climate change in cities
RAMSES, a five-year EU project concluded in September 2017, research results are summarized in a final report: analysed structural features of cities, and developed tools, such as an innovative urban climate model to be applied to Antwerp, London, and Bilbao.
