Good practice / spotlight item

Reaping the adaptation co-benefits of renovating buildings
In 2014, the City of Daruvar, along with The Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund of the Republic of Croatia (EPEEF), co-financed the renovation of 16 houses throughout the city in an effort to improve their energy efficiency. This project, which may have adaptation co-benefits, is scheduled to continue in the coming years. Daruvar has also implemented a water conservation project in kindergartens as well as primary and secondary schools.
