Flood protection: An important element of Treviso's upcoming adaptation plan
In response to extreme weather events, particularly flooding, Treviso has taken adaptation action and is in the process of developing an "Adaptation Plan to Climate Change" that emphasizes water management and hydro-geological issues. Treviso intends to improve its resilience by integrating the adaptation strategy with municipal plans and projects. Treviso's planned adaptation actions include, for example, improving rain water collection in an effort to reduce the impact of flooding and creating flood protection areas around the city's waterways.
