KLIMADA (Polish National Adaptation Platform)

Description

KLIMADA platform was developed in the context of the KLIMADA project: 'Development and implementation of a strategic adaptation plan for the sectors and areas vulnerable to climate change'. The platform was launched in 2013 and since then it has been funded and maintained by the Ministry of the Environment. The main driver for developing the Polish National Adaptation Platform was the need to establish an official, national, one-stop-shop for adaptation information, which would serve also as a tool to support the implementation of the Polish National Adaptation Strategy (NAS). KLIMADA provides information on the climate change in Poland and its impacts on different sectors, on local adaptation initiatives and the national adaptation strategy. KLIMADA is targeted mainly at actors representing local, regional and national governments, and to a lesser extent at the general public.
