Finland's water resources and climate change - effects and adaptation (WATERADAPT)

This object has been archived because its content is outdated. You can still access it as legacy

Description:

WaterAdapt aims at producing information about the effects of climate change and about adaptation options. More information is needed to prepare for adequate adaptation measures. WaterAdapt aims to evaluate the impacts of climate change on the occurrence of heavy rains, water resources, floods and droughts, and what measures should be taken to adapt to these changes. The following issues are also examined: the pressures to change regulation practices, minimum building site elevations and water supply management measures due to climate changes. The results of the study can be used in the evaluation of future needs to change the rules and practices of regulation
