Description

Local and regional authorities face various obstacles in accessing and using public and private climate finance. In this context, the report aims to answer the following research questions:

  1. What are the main international and national funding opportunities for climate change mitigation and adaptation measures available to EU local and regional authorities?
  2. What are the main obstacles faced by local and regional authorities in accessing and using such funding opportunities?
  3. How can the identified obstacles be overcome?
