Description

The ECCE PROJECT, "A preliminary assessment of the Impacts in Spain due to the effect of Climate Change", was the first national evaluation of climate change effects in Spain and was developed by a group of more than 400 experts in different ecological systems, and economic and social sectors. The ECCE project dealt with the impacts of these projected climate changes on 15 sectors and systems: terrestrial ecosystems, inland aquatic ecosystems, marine ecosystems and fisheries sector, plant biodiversity, animal biodiversity, hydric resources, soil resources, forestry sector, agrarian sector, coastal areas, natural hazards of climatic origin, energy sector, tourism sector, insurance sector and human health.
