DESCRIPTION:The European Health Forum Gastein (EHFG) will celebrate its 25
 th anniversary in 2022 and take stock of the substantial accomplishments i
 n public health over the last quarter century. EHFG will also look forward
  and discuss the challenges and policy options for action urgently needed 
 across sectors\, borders\, and disciplines at this watershed moment for he
 alth\, security\, and solidarity. That creates a window of opportunity to 
 co-create a true European Health Union. \n\nSession S4 on 'The health impa
 cts of the climate crisis: New tools to support European action' (27 Septe
 mber) will discuss current needs and actions to estimate the scale and imp
 act of the health risks resulting from the ongoing changes in environmenta
 l health determinants associated to climate change. How can current policy
  initiatives and research efforts at the European level provide the needed
  evidence\, tools and frameworks to answer to the serious threat climate c
 hange poses to human health? You are invited to join this session to refle
 ct and discuss existing approaches and future opportunities to address the
  climate crisis.
