European Climate Pact – everyone on board for climate action, including adaptation

Since its launch in December 2020, the European Climate Pact has started to roll out EU-wide activities to involve citizens, communities and organizations in climate action, including adaptation, and building a greener Europe. On the Climate Pact website more information can be found about the Pact’s network of volunteer Ambassadors, climate action pledges, and events taking place across Europe.

The EU Mission Adaptation project 'TransformAr', has recently launched a new questionnaire to build a European Network on Climate Change Adaptation. The questionnaire aims at building this network to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange, and discussion on transformative adaptation, starting with organizing webinars on various topics, such as Nature-Based Solutions and Digital & Technological Solutions.

German city of Bonn’s new role in Global Resilience Hub: Building Bridges for Resilience

The city of Bonn has recently been labelled as a global ‘Making Cities Resilient 2030’ (MCR2030) Resilience Hub. Joining the ranks of 23 cities recognized as Resilience Hubs: cities with a proven track record in disaster risk reduction and resilience, this German city is committed to bringing local and regional governments together to advance climate resilience efforts. Bonn intends to extend its outreach and address a larger resilience community by conducting online activities and international conferences, such as a Youth Adaptation Forum, which was held on 8 June 2023.
