Climate-ADAPT Adaptation Support Tool – new version launched
The recently updated Adaptation Support Tool (AST) provides a sound overview and guidance in assisting policy makers and coordinators in the EU Member States, EEA member countries and others on how to develop, further improve and increase the coherence of National Adaptation Strategies (NASs) and National Action Plans (NAPs). A webinar will be held on 18 November 2020 to learn more about the practical experience and use for policy, planning and decision making.

Danish climate change adaptation and land-use tool for planning on local level
A new screening tool for Denmark, called KAMP, compares selected national data, calculations and projections and it is aimed in particular at planning and environmental works in local government. The tool can be used to assess how many buildings and infrastructure could potentially be affected by flooding, and it can estimate the value of the buildings and constructions that risk damage.

North Macedonia joins the EU LIFE programme for environment and climate action
North Macedonia is the fourth non-EU country to join the LIFE programme for environment and climate action, after Iceland, Ukraine and Moldova. By joining this programme, North Macedonia will have the opportunity to benefit from LIFE’s support for mobilising public and private resources for climate action, biodiversity protection, circular economy and clean energy transition.
