Loss Data Enhancement for DRR and CCA Management (LODE)

Description:

The LODE project focuses on the development of damage and loss data information systems for DRR and CCA. Its goal is to enhance the understanding of disaster impacts to multiple societal sectors at relevant spatial and temporal scales.

Lode works closely with a network of stakeholders with responsibilities in prevention and adaptation to propose improved processes and tools for data collection and to tailor the information system under development to a variety of uses ranging from understanding and analyzing causes and drivers of risk to providing input for a more resilient recovery. The collection, storage, organization of post-disaster damage and loss data supports a variety of applications, ranging from accounting to forensic analysis of disasters to enhancement of risk modelling capacity.
