Description

The Project LIFE Gestire 2020 aims to ensure the achievement of biodiversity conservation goals set out in the Habitats and Birds Directives, building on the contents of the Lombardy Regional Prioritised Action Framework (PAF), thus contributing to improve the management of the Natura 2000 network.

Specific objectives are:

  • improving governance and management models of the Natura 2000 network in order to achieve multiple policy goals, through the increase of capacity building of the involved actors
  • maintaining and improving the conservation status of habitat and species
  • raise the awareness and the level of information of the value/potential of Natura 2000 sites
  • monitoring the effectiveness of the project in achieving the objectives of the PAF.
