LIFE and Climate change adaptation
Description
LIFE (The Financial Instrument for the Environment and Climate Action) is a programme launched by the European Commission and coordinated by the Environment and Climate Action Directorates-General. Since 2000, the LIFE programme has co-funded nearly 150 projects that focus – in whole or part - on climate change adaptation. These have mobilised some €307 million for climate change adaptation (with an EU contributionof €152 million). This report describes in detail LIFE contribution to adaptation projects Europe-wide and showcases the funded projects.
