Objective of the funding programme

Energy Upgrade and Renovation of Buildings of Central Public Administration Bodies – including Ministries, SA and NPAs, NPOs, entities under the responsibility of the central administration, and local authorities, with a focus on particularly energy-intensive or emblematic buildings of cultural and historical significance.

The programme supports climate change adaptation by promoting energy efficiency upgrades in buildings. Key interventions include improvements to the building envelope, such as insulation and high-performance windows, as well as upgrades to electromechanical systems, integration of renewable energy sources, installation of high-efficiency cogeneration units (CHP), and modernization of lighting and energy management systems. These measures reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, enhancing the sustainability and climate resilience of infrastructure.
