Objective of the funding programme

The plan has been developed in response to the need for ensuring a coordinated and coherent approach to the implementation of the COP 21 strategy for combating climate change in each member country. Its main goals are to stimulate the low-carbon development of the economy, foster the development of competitive and secure energy systems, reduce dependence on fuel and energy imports, and guarantee energy at affordable prices for all consumers. These objectives align with the global climate action agenda, aiming to promote sustainability, energy security, and economic resilience in the face of climate challenges.
