Objective of the funding programme

The aim of the Town and Village Renewal Scheme is to support the regeneration of towns and villages, including the refurbishment of community spaces, development of green areas, and the reuse of vacant or derelict buildings. Projects that incorporate nature-based solutions or strong sustainability elements are prioritised, aligning the scheme with climate adaptation objectives.

The application deadline for the 2025 scheme closed on 25 July 2025. Having run annually since 2016, it is likely to reopen in 2026.
