Dissemination event of the handbook for climate change adaptation planning in the Baltic Sea Region
The event presents a handbook for local climate change adaptation. It provides a 10-step approach for local governments to prepare and plan climate adaptation strategies. The event is organised in the framework of the 2021 - 2023 project “Climate Mainstreaming Locally in the Baltic Sea Region” (CliMaLoc) funded by the Swedish Institute and the Council of the Baltic Sea States long-term priority Sustainable and Prosperous Region.

First Climateurope2 Webstival: Science and society dialogues on climate services and innovation
Climateurope2 is a 4.5-year Horizon Europe project that addresses the need for timely delivery and effective use of climate information. The project aims to support the climate services community and propose standardisation procedures for future equitable and quality-assured climate services, useful for decision making in all sectors of society. The first Climateurope2 webstival will feature invited talks on EU adaptation strategy, climate risk assessment, mission adaptation and other Horizon Europe missions.

REGILIENCE Open Training Session on the EU resilience landscape
The EU funded REGILIENCE project provides a first Open Training Session (OTS) of its series of capacity-building events for regional actors working on adaptation to climate change. The session focuses on the EU resilience landscape and explores highly innovative EU initiatives and projects. It will provide guidance on where to get support with respect to current regional challenges and needs and highlight opportunities to boost regional climate resilience developments.

Masterclass: Can’t stand the heat? Climate Change, Thermal Comfort and Health
This talk will focus on how we can move beyond using temperature within heatwaves and the relevance of thermal comfort indices that consider heat stress for sectors including meteorology and health. It will move on to discuss other links between meteorology, climate change and health.

NSO webinar: earth observation solutions for climate change adaptation and mitigation
The Netherlands Space Office (NSO) will explain the added value of and how to implement services based on satellite data. Furthermore, companies will present the services they have developed. Participants will learn more about the services that these companies have to offer, and about what it takes to start an innovation project as a public administration together with the market.
