A Webinar, organized by the Alpine Climate Board of the Alpine Convention, will explore how to create a positive mindset towards climate action. It will show how powerful local stories can inspire people to take action on climate change, and how they can create win-win solutions in improving quality of life in the Alps. The inputs illustrate actions of drivers (and motivations) for behavioural change, focused on mitigation and adaptation to climate change. Representatives from the good practices, featured in the ACB booklet "Closing the gap on climate action", will share their experiences.

Global warming leads to increasing temperatures and extreme weather events, also in Nordic countries. This webinar addresses potential health effects of heat waves and increasing risk of wildfires, and assesses the level of preparedness in the Nordic countries. The webinar also presents findings of the EXHAUSTION project, which investigates the impacts of a combination of extreme heat and air pollution, its costs and potential coping strategies.
