LIFE project ADAPTA BLUES is launched
23 Jan 2020The 5-year project ADAPTA BLUES, funded by the LIFE Programme, focuses on the restoration of estuarine ecosystems as a Nature Based Solution to remediate the risks related to climate change in coastal areas. The aim is to demonstrate that the conservation and restoration of estuarine ecosystems is an efficient strategy to enhance adaptation to climate change in coastal areas of the European Atlantic coast.
JPI Climate E-magazine: 7 years of project results

Climate change in Germany: New monitoring report illustrates far-reaching impact
26 Nov 2019The second monitoring report by the Federal Government says the average air temperature in Germany rose by 1.5 degrees between 1881 and 2018, with a 0.3-degree increase over the last five years alone. The effects include more health risks caused by heat stress, a rise in the average surface temperature of the North Sea, and heavier fluctuations in agricultural yields.
EU invests €240 million for nature, environment and climate action
13 Nov 2019More than 120 new projects will be funded under the LIFE programme for the Environment and Climate Action, helping Europe shift to a more sustainable and low-carbon future. Approximately €240 million will go to projects in the fields of nature and biodiversity, environment and resource efficiency, and climate action, mobilising additional investments in these areas.
