Good practice / spotlight item

Water Park
Due to the extreme temperatures that Rende experiences, the city decided in 2012 to construct the new Santa Chiara recreational water park. This park, which is currently under construction, will include an artificial lake, an additional 21,000 square meters of green areas, two multipurpose buildings, a skating rink, and a specific area dedicated to technology that is geared towards children and teenagers. The entire water sports part of the complex will occupy 4.11 hectares. The park is intended to provide relief from the heat and an area for citizens and visitors of Rende to engage in leisure activities. More information can be found here.
