Adaptation co-benefits of the Authentic Villages network
The town of Sorradile is a member of "Borghi Autentici" or "Authentic Villages," which is a network of Italian villages that promotes sustainable development and the resilience of the municipalities. It does so by raising awareness and support for the development and renovation of buildings and urban spaces such as public parks as well as increased energy efficiency in buildings. Authentic Villages also promotes the production of agricultural food products via traditional cultivation techniques, which contribute to the maintenance of soil quality and a reduction of water use in irrigation systems.
