Is é is aidhm do AdriaClim faisnéis chruinn a fhorbairt a bheidh in ann tacú le forbairt pleananna réigiúnacha agus áitiúla um oiriúnú don athrú aeráide. Go háirithe, forbraítear pleanáil oiriúnaithe cósta, le haghaidh geilleagar gorm inbhuanaithe, bunaithe ar fhaisnéis iontaofa agus chruinn maidir le hardú áitiúil ar leibhéal na farraige, teocht agus salandacht na farraige, creimeadh cósta, etc.
Déanann AdriaClim comhdhlúthú ar an bhfaireachán ar an athrú aeráide (breathnóireacht agus samhaltú) agus ar phleanáil beart chun an acmhainneacht oiriúnaithe a neartú san Iodáil agus sa Chróit, ag cur leis an gcomhar trasteorann freisin.
Áirítear ar na cuspóirí sonracha:
- Acmhainneacht oiriúnaithe don athrú aeráide a fheabhsú i limistéir chósta agus sonraí aonchineálacha agus inchomparáide á bhforbairt;
- Feabhas a chur ar eolas, ar acmhainneacht agus ar chomhar maidir le córais breathnóireachta agus samhaltaithe i ndáil leis an athrú aeráide;
- Ardchóras faisnéise, uirlisí agus táscairí a fhorbairt chun an phleanáil is fearr is féidir a dhéanamh maidir le hoiriúnú don athrú aeráide
