Quantitative dynamic macroeconomic analysis of global climate change and inequality (MACROCLIMATE)

This object has been archived because its content is outdated. You can still access it as legacy

Description:

The aim is to conduct research within the general area of macroeconomics and inequality. However, most of the focus during the buildup period will be on a broad project on the world economy and climate change. The aim is to build a dynamic quantitative macroeconomic model of the world economy with a climate system as an integral part. The novelty, relative to existing economy-climate models, is the modeling methodology: it will use modern macroeconomic analysis---in particular the numerical tools developed to study economies with a cross-section of consumers/agents---in order to substantially enrich and generalize the description of the world economy.
