Adaptation actions in cities: what works?

Description

In this report AECOM and Sniffer have collected evidence through a set of UK case studies in response to the following research questions:

1. How can we evaluate the impact on climate risk of adaptation actions or projects taking place in cities?
2. What characteristics of successful actions or projects may be transferable to other projects?

Findings of this study are based on 25 case studies across the UK urban areas of Glasgow City Region, Greater London, Greater Manchester, Leicester and Newcastle upon Tyne. The report findings encompass M&E approaches and challenges, as well as enablers and barriers for success in urban adaptation. Recommendations are given for achieving successful outcomes and impacts in urban adaptation projects. Furthermore, each of the adaptation cases are described in detail.
