Development of Green Infrastructure for the City: A Holistic Vision towards Sustainable Urbanism

Description

The study looks into green infrastructure of a city and evaluates it as a holistic approach to achieving sustainable design and planning. The paper particularly focuses on the use and multi-use of green spaces in urban environments and how they play major role in achieving sustainability in an urban context. The study will touch on aspects of quality of life, ecological design and climate change. The study introduces the concept of green infrastructure and its major aspects in sustainable urbanism. It then explores these aspects through selection of case studies and  conclude with how municipalities may decide on design and planning of green spaces as a vision or approach towards sustainable urbanism.
