The report is written for climate experts and illustrates the current scientific knowledge of extreme weather and climate events in Europe considering four variables: temperature, precipitation, hail, and drought (meteorological, hydrological and soil moisture). It includes a comprehensive literature review and presents recorded observations and modelled projections for extreme events. The report focuses on four European case studies characterized by extreme weather/climate events.
