Description

This chapter of the IPCC 5th Assessment Report focuses on rural areas. It syntesizes the available scientific knowledge on the past and future impacts of climate change on rural systems, resulting vulnerabilities, and adaptation.

More specificly, the current and future impacts on rural sectors like agriculture and forestry, fisheris, livestock, mining and tourism are being presented. Specific soulutions adapting to and managing the risks associated with climate change are included as well as key conclusions and a description of knowledge gaps.
