Roadmap for the development of a national adaptation strategy to climate change in Estonia

Description

The document (in national language, abstract in English) has the two main goals to provide information about climate change impacts and possible measures for different sectors (including non-environmental sectors) and to propose options for action for developing the national adaptation strategy on climate change. In order to achieve these targets the sectors and climate change impacts were listed. The Swedish and Finnish national adaptation strategies were taken as a basis for listing and analysing the impacts of climate change and possible adaptation measures. Both of these countries have similar climate conditions compared to Estonia and analysing their adaptation actions could help Estonia to structure further activities and research needs. The Roadmap was developed by the Baltic Environment Forum Estonia in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment of Estonia in the frame of the project BaltClim.
