The European Climate Conference, organised by the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union, will bring together high-level representatives of the EU Member States, the European Commission and the European Parliament, as well as prominent figures from civil society, the scientific community, businesses and local governments. Among others, the conference will highlight the knowledge, needs, solutions and policies to adapt to climate change, in particular in priority areas for the French presidency of the Council such as urban environments, including those that are coastal, and transport.

The European Commission organises a public online event for the launch of the Destination Earth, together with the European Centre for Medium-range Forecasts (ECMWF), the European Space Agency (ESA), the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT), and with the implementing entities. Destination Earth (DestinE) aims to develop a highly accurate digital model of the Earth to monitor and predict the interaction between natural phenomena and human activities including climate change adaptation.
