Reasons of success of the IRRINET system

Crop yields for grape in Emilia-Romagna increased by 13% thanks to IRRINET in 2012, while water use decreased by 27% compared to traditional system. The Water Use Efficiency of the IRRINET system in Emilia-Romagna (Kg of crop yields/m3 of water) was 25 Kg/m3 in the same year, which corresponded to an increase of +47% compared to traditional system (17 Kg/m3).
