Erosion protection: before and after the works
Erosion protection is carried adopting environmentally-friendly forms of bank protection such as bitumen matting: reeds are planted to grow through the matting (picture on the left), giving a more natural appearance to the riverside (picture on the right). Source: The Broads Authority
