Green Transition Forum 5.0

The Green Transition Forum 5.0 is Central and Eastern Europe’s leading event for green innovation and sustainability.

Taking place in Sofia, Bulgaria, the 2025 edition will bring together high-level policymakers, business leaders, and climate experts to explore strategies for a competitive, connected, and resilient green transition.

The EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change will be represented by Richard Smithers, Director of the Mission Implementation Platform for Climate Change Adaptation (MIP4Adapt), in the panel discussion: "Beyond survival: rethinking resilience in the face of climate change" on Thirsday 19th June at 13:00-14:30.

This session will focus on:

• Long-term sustainability of adaptation and climate risk reduction efforts

• Scaling adaptation finance and public-private collaboration

• The role of accessible climate data in decision-making

• Opportunities for cities and urban resilience planning

• Co-creating strategies with local communities

• Multi-level coordination for equitable climate adaptation
