Objective of the funding programme

The Cohesion Fund (CF) aims to strengthen the economic, social, and territorial cohesion of the EU. It primarily supports investments in environmental protection and trans-European transport networks (TEN-T) in Member States with a gross national income per capita below 90% of the EU-27 average. The fund not only promotes growth and the reduction of disparities across the Union but also helps build sustainable infrastructure and mobility, enables fair energy transitions, supports climate change mitigation and adaptation, and assists in risk prevention and management.
