Objective of the funding programme

The Erasmus+ programme aims to support education, training, youth, and sport across Europe. It is not limited to university students; it also encourages participation from other levels of education and promotes various types of mobility and cooperation between countries to foster innovation and the exchange of good practices. While not directly focused on climate change adaptation, Erasmus+ can contribute indirectly by financing projects related to environmental education and capacity-building, climate-related research, and youth-led initiatives on sustainability and climate action, among others. These projects can be developed in partnerships with other local, regional, and international stakeholders, and contribute to both local and EU-wide goals.
