Objective of the funding programme

The Just Transition Fund (JTF) aims to support regions facing major socio-economic challenges arising from the shift to climate neutrality by fostering new jobs, investment, and social inclusion, ensuring that no community is left behind. It is also relevant for climate adaptation initiatives, as it can finance projects that restore ecosystems, strengthen local infrastructure, and enhance resilience to climate impacts, helping territories better prepare for both environmental and economic transformations
