Objective of the funding programme

This funding scheme supports prevention and protection measures for people and assets exposed to major natural risks, including projects related to climate change adaptation. It provides financing to local authorities with an approved or submitted PPRI (Plan de Prévention des Risques d’Inondation), as well as to individuals (housing) and companies (offices). The maximum funding amount varies according to the type of project owner (individual, company, or local authority).

The fund has a total annual budget of €300 million, representing an increase of €75 million compared with 2024.

Type of funding

Funding rate (percentage of covered costs)

The maximum funding amount varies depending on the type of applicant (individual, company, or local authority).

  • Individuals: Up to 80% of project cost, max 50% of asset value, capped at €36,000.
  • Companies: Up to 40% of project cost, max 10% of asset value.
  • Local authorities: 50% studies, 40-50% for the works.
