Interreg Europe, an interregional cooperation programme co-funded by the European Union, is aimed at reducing disparities in development, growth, and quality of life across Europe’s regions. With a budget of EUR 394M for the period 2021-2027, the programme helps local, regional, and national governments in 36 countries to develop and implement better policies. The programme focuses on several key topics that align with EU priorities. These priorities help address climate change adaptation by promoting smarter, greener, and more connected solutions. Through the exchange of good practices and policy learning, the programme supports regions in strengthening their development policies. This collaborative approach enhances resilience to climate impacts, enabling regions to adapt more effectively to both current and future challenges.
