Objective of the funding programme

The overall objective of the Interreg VI-A Lithuania–Poland 2021–2027 Cross-border Cooperation Programme is to improve the wellbeing of cross-border communities through enhanced cooperation and the sustainable use of cultural and natural heritage in the Lithuanian–Polish border area. Among its key priorities is promoting environmental wellbeing and strengthening crisis management, which includes actions related to climate change adaptation, disaster risk prevention, and enhancing the capacity of institutions and communities to respond to environmental and climate-related challenges in a coordinated, cross-border manner.
