Interreg VI A Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania / Brandenburg / Poland 2021–2027 aims to strengthen cross-border cooperation between northeastern Germany and northwestern Poland, fostering economic, social, and territorial cohesion in the region. The programme facilitates collaborative projects that promote sustainable development, economic resilience, and an improved quality of life in the cross-border area. Its implementation is guided by four thematic priorities, covering areas such as innovation, climate action, sustainable transport, and social inclusion, across a total of seven specific objectives.
In particular, Priority 2: Tackling the consequences of climate change together and preserving nature directly supports climate change adaptation, encouraging joint actions that enhance environmental resilience and safeguard shared natural resources.
