Objective of the funding programme

The aim is to exploit the energy saving potential and improve energy efficiency in the public building sector and to promote the exemplary role of the public sector.

Contributes to climate change adaptation by enhancing the energy efficiency of public buildings, reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. Interventions such as improving thermal insulation, upgrading heating/cooling systems with more efficient solutions, and integrating renewable energy sources make buildings more resilient to extreme weather events and shifting climate conditions. By lowering the environmental footprint of the public sector and strengthening the sustainability and resilience of infrastructure, the program plays a crucial role in adapting to the challenges posed by climate change.
