Objective of the funding programme

The goal of the programme is to support research and development activities in the field of climate change mitigation and adaptation. By encouraging the Croatian scientific community to take a more active role in addressing nationally relevant issues related to climate change and associated measures, particularly in the area of sustainable energy and cross-sectoral cooperation, the programme places additional emphasis on building a sustainable society. It funds scientific and research activities aimed at tackling the challenges posed by climate change.

Through its implementation, analyses and innovative proposals are expected, focusing on increasing energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources, as well as reducing greenhouse gas emissions in sectors such as industry and agriculture. The programme is also intended to contribute to a more efficient system for predicting and preventing the consequences of natural disasters resulting from climate change.
