Objective of the funding programme

The Green Edge project call aims to support projects that enhance accessible greenery, establish green connections between residential areas and the green poles, and strengthen the quality of life in the Green Edge through nature construction.

Grants

Funding rate (percentage of covered costs)

Groene Rand finances up to the full project budget, depending on the project’s objective. Cumulation with other funding is allowed but is in all cases limited to 100% of total eligible costs. The following maximum contribution rates apply:

  • Purchase of land for afforestation: up to 60% of the total estimated purchase cost.
  • Purchase of land for nature development: up to 50% of the total estimated purchase cost
  • Afforestation (furnishing): up to 80% of the total estimated furnishing costs.
  • Nature development (excluding afforestation): up to 80% of the total estimated furnishing costs.
  • Combined purchase and furnishing: the respective maximum percentages apply to each part of the project budget individually.
