Objective of the funding programme

The programme aims to promote sustainability, competitiveness, and digitalisation within Spain’s tourism sector by supporting local entities in developing models that protect natural resources, enhance biodiversity, and strengthen territorial cohesion. Eligible actions include green transition measures such as heritage restoration, the creation of green areas, circular economy initiatives, and climate change adaptation projects, as well as improvements in energy efficiency, sustainable mobility, digital transformation, and overall competitiveness. The programme encourages climate-resilient tourism models, reduces environmental pressures, and strengthens the capacity of local communities to cope with climate impacts while sustaining economic activity.
