The Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund (DTIF) aims to support enterprises in Ireland to collaborate on challenges and opportunities presented by new disruptive technologies that will transform how we live and work. It seeks to de-risk collaborative projects and demonstrate commercial impacts within 3 to 7 years after project completion. The fund also focuses on strengthening start-up activity related to disruptive technologies and building on Irish research by supporting the delivery and exploitation of new technology-based solutions.
Additionally, DTIF promotes innovation and collaboration between enterprises and the research community, fostering deeper partnerships between the public and private sectors, including both large firms and SMEs. It also prepares Irish enterprises and public bodies to participate in European and global initiatives around the development and deployment of disruptive technologies. Climate Matters considers early warning systems with adaptation responses as potentially eligible under this fund.
