The project aims to strengthen the innovation ecosystem in Emilia-Romagna by enhancing the involvement of universities, research institutions, laboratories, and innovation centres. It seeks to improve the structural capacity of these actors and scale up their efforts, while fostering international collaborations. The goal is to support Emilia-Romagna’s strong and competitive industrial sector in its transition toward sustainability, addressing the urgent challenges posed by climate change and the unsustainable use of natural resources.
Research activities will focus on key areas such as:
Materials for sustainability and ecological transition
Clean energy production, storage, and conservation
Green manufacturing for a sustainable economy
Smart solutions for mobility, housing, and energy for a zero-carbon society
Circular economy
Blue economy
Ecological transition powered by high-performance computing and data technology
