Objective of the funding programme

The Environmental Balance Actions 2025–2026 programme of the Green Fund provides €79 million in financing to 332 municipalities across Greece, supporting urban regeneration, the creation of green spaces, energy-efficient upgrades of public buildings, and integrated urban planning. Beyond improving quality of life, these interventions directly contribute to climate adaptation by mitigating heat islands, managing flood risks, enhancing energy resilience, and promoting sustainable mobility and healthier urban environments.
