EPA Research Calls are issued annually and target specific research areas and actions aligned with Ireland’s environmental and climate priorities. The programme will run every year up to 2030. Topics covered include addressing climate change evidence needs, specifically climate action that brings mitigation and adaptation together, and the development of climate-neutral pathways. Other areas of focus include protecting and restoring the natural environment, understanding the environmental impact of plans and policies, and the sustainable management of water resources, with particular attention to water quantity.
