Objective of the funding programme

EPA Research Calls are issued annually and target specific research areas and actions aligned with Ireland’s environmental and climate priorities. The EPA Research Call 2025 opened on 3 April 2025. The call includes a range of topics aimed at addressing current and emerging environmental challenges. Key topics include:

  • Addressing Climate Change Evidence Needs

    • Climate action: bringing mitigation and adaptation together

    • Developing climate neutral pathways for Ireland

  • Protecting and Restoring our Natural Environment
