The aim of the programme is to implement climate protection and climate change adaptation flagship projects at the regional level in Austria, with the goal of creating best-practice examples that can be replicated by others. It focuses on tackling key societal and environmental challenges, including:
Shortage of skilled labour
Energy and mobility poverty
Refurbishment and construction
Water management

Type of funding
Funding rate (percentage of covered costs)
The programme covers personnel, material, and third-party costs up to €99,000, depending on the size of the project. Investment costs are not eligible for funding.
Expected budget range of proposals
Can the received funding be combined with other funding sources (blended)?
Is a Consortium required to apply for the funding?
The programme primarily targets existing KEM and KLAR! regions in Austria. While cooperation between these regions and the involvement of other relevant stakeholders is encouraged to enhance project impact and integration, it is not a mandatory requirement for funding eligibility.
