Objective of the funding programme

The Fonds Vert is France’s main financing instrument for environmental action. It was launched in 2023 and renewed in 2025 with a reduced allocation — €1.15 billion compared with €2.5 billion the previous year — including a dedicated budget of €260 million for climate change adaptation.

In 2025, priority is given to flood risk prevention, urban renaturation, the development of cycling lanes, and land regeneration in urban areas. A specific budget of €100 million is dedicated to local adaptation plans (PCAET) financing.
