Objective of the funding programme

The KfW Environmental Programme offers low-interest financing for investments in municipal and social development. Eligible areas include technical infrastructure—such as water supply and wastewater systems—waste management, transport infrastructure, and public buildings, including schools, hospitals, and sports facilities.

Funding rate (percentage of covered costs)

Loans at favourable interest rates. Up to 100% of investment costs can be financed for loans under €2 million. For loans exceeding €2 million, financing of up to 50% of investment costs is possible. The maximum loan amount per project is €150 million.
